Rotary Club of Pattaya Joins Mayor to Launch Citywide Online Scam Awareness Campaign
Pattaya Mayor Poramet Ngampichet recently met with representatives of the Rotary Club of Pattaya to jointly plan an important public awareness initiative aimed at protecting residents from online scams and digital fraud.
The meeting focused on the organization of two Town Hall Meetings, scheduled to take place at Pattaya City Hall in early February 2026. These sessions will provide practical information, expert guidance, and real world examples to help the public recognize, avoid, and report online scams that increasingly target individuals and families across Pattaya.
The Town Hall Meetings will be organized by the Rotary Club of Pattaya in close cooperation with the Pattaya City Administration, the Banglamung District Chief, and four police stations covering the greater Pattaya area. This strong collaboration between civic leaders, law enforcement, and Rotary highlights a shared commitment to public safety, education, and community wellbeing.
The Rotary delegation was led by Past President Niels Colov and included Past Presidents Jahangir Hossain and Bijen Jonchay, along with Rotarians Wanwisa Veerakittikul, Chakkrit Tanwongwan, Hossen Mizan, and Dominic Berd. Together with city officials, they discussed program structure, key topics, and outreach efforts to ensure the campaign reaches as many residents as possible.
